When you take a taxi where do you sit?

Front seat of course.
Back seat alone.
If it's me and someone else I'll tell him to go to the back and I'll take the front.
If it's me and someone else will both cram into the back.
I don't take taxis for that very reason - as I'm unsure what to do. ;)
Depends on the nationality of the driver.
I just hope the driver doesn't smell and I'll take the front.
Didnt you realize the driver has his front passenger seat pushed all the way up to tell you not to sit here?
If I go with 4 people then I have no choice and I will sit in the front glady.
Kick driver to back, and drive. (©henche)

Would this be any different while taking a ride with a מונית in israel?

Only in Israel, if your traveling alone they want you to sit in the front

Please add to poll: Kick driver to back, and drive.
I'd be all for that. NYC Uber/cab drivers are the worst.

Nunu. Some  of the best drivers around are the taxi drivers in nyc. Just because their wild and maybe scary to be inside their car doesn’t mean their bad drivers.

I didn't say they're bad drivers, I said they're the worst.
If I wanted to pay to barf I'd go on The Rotor or Tilt-a-whirl.

I hear. The only way to move in that city is to be aggressive though. Maybe in Cleveland people will stop to let you in their lane, not in nyc... if you don’t show the taxi driver that your actually halfway in his lane and in theory ready to crash into him you won’t be able to change lanes. Your gonna miss your flight if you drive like a Cleveland driver :)
( P.s.  I have never been to Cleveland but I assume it’s more like the many other cities I’ve been to that are nothing like nyc )

I don’t drive in Manhattan often but when I do it’s awesome.
Everyone is trying to get where they’re going as fast as possible, if you wanna suddenly cut someone off they’re aware and waiting for it. It’s organized chaos that just works out great.

Like I said, I don't mind driving in that, hence why I'd vote for that option.
But as a backseat pax it's nauseating.

So basically you're (not your ) saying he should treat NYC driving like rushing through an airport.
