Was wondering if anyone has experience what is the norm salary for such a job. Was offered 50% of net profit without a base salary, is asking for more reasonable?

All depends on what is the average net profit , at least for the last 6 months,plus a few other variables.

Hard to say without any info, If it's a new site it will need a whole lot of money on SEO, Google ads, etc. Just to get ppl to come to the site etc.

But let's assume that they aren't expecting to make 500k and give you 250k. So it really depends on how much it can realistically bring.

It's not a new site, they have their customers,  however they only sell a specific type of product. There is defiantly room to grow their own site and to expand to  other marketplaces but we're not talking yet in the 500k range. Last year it was more in the 150k range

20% of gross might make more sense. It's hard to just net profit for an eCommerce site as there are tons of hidden expenses.
