So Palestine wants East Jerusalem as its capital. Possible?
If the Palestinians come to the table in the interest of peace - then it remains to be seen, but I think we could get to a place where that is possible. At this point it seems extremely unlikely (from both sides - the Palestinians not being interested in peace, and the Israelis have moved much to the right since either of the two generous offers)

History has shown that appeasement doesn't lead to peace (Chamberlain). And that true peace only comes with a decisive victory and position of strength (Mexican-American war, WW2, Cold War, etc).
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

So it is not a deal breaker. That is what I was wondering.

I don't think it is. The status quo of the temple mount makes it extremely likely. Major mistake made in '67...

As long as kids are taught to hate in school - peace is a pipe dream. It's worse on the other side where they idealize blowing yourself up to kill Israelis, but it's a problem on our side as well.
