Advice needed making 5k United PQM trip
« on: December 11, 2017, 10:44:10 AM »
I'm about 5400mi short of Gold status, and I wanted to know if anyone had a good recommendation for a one/two day trip (I can fly the whole time) to just put me over on the 5400 United gold PQM I need.

Anyone have any cheap deals to use to gather the needed United miles?

Thanks so much!!

assuming you already met/waived PQD.
IIRC you can book a flight and buy additional PQM for that flight then cancel the flight and you still get to keep the additional miles.

Hey, check out the FT mileage run board here: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/mileage-run-deals-372/

Most of those posts focus on the 20K runs. Taking a trip to HKG for ~350 should put you way over the top. If you want something simpler, a RT transcon trip or a trip to Hawaii could be a bit more enjoyable than going all the way to Asia.
