One way ticket PHL-DTW
« on: September 22, 2011, 08:13:16 PM »
I am looking for a hidden city stopover going from PHL-DTW at 3:30 pm or 4:30 pm on Nov 2 and returning on Nov 3 on an early morning flight. Currently for the return I can book DTW-PHL-ATL on USAIRWAYS for $95 but I am having a hard time for the outbound. I really would rather the 3:29pm US flight if possible.

I appreciate all suggestions.

try-
Delta 3:02pm PHL to BOS - stopover in DTW -$120

or

Delta 4:30pm    PHL to PIT -stopover in DTW $134

There are cheaper flights at earlier times

One of the yesodos of HCT, is that you are usually traveling through a hub, as that is where most connections happen.
For example, the reason you were able to find the way back flying US is because PHL is a hub of their's and therefore you have a "stopover".

To fly to DTW, using HCT, you need to find an airline that has a hub in DTW, aka DL, not US.

(The exception is spoke to spoke, but that kind of routing is far less common and usually more expensive.)
