Selling

certs/awards expire 2/29/24:
4x Club Access certs (each good for a stay up to 7 consecutive nights) transferred to your account, $20 each
2x Suite Upgrade Awards (each good for a stay up to 7 consecutive nights) transferred to your account $50

certs/awards expire 2/28/25
5x Guest of Honor certs (each good for a stay up to 7 consecutive nights)  transferred to your account, $150 each

Discoverist status:  $20 for 1 year, $40 for 3 years.

How does sell status work? Can you gift discoverist status to others?

If true, thatís very disappointing

Very much so. Wondering if there's any other DP's of this.

Is this accurate? If you are a Globalist and click into the terms and conditions for the Guest of Honor awards, it says "Guest of Honor award may be applied where the member makes a paid reservation or redeems a free night award or points + cash award in accordance with the World of Hyatt terms."

Also note that FNCs can now be formally gifted to another member as I see functionality to do so within the Hyatt app.

I'm hoping it isn't! However, seller screenshotted the message from the agent noting that "The new GoH Awards are unable to be combined with a category 1-4 FNA. GoH Award reservations may only be made using points & or cash."

Can someone else confirm?

I'm not understanding why GOH certificates are suddenly $150 each.

In case anyone didn't know, Hyatt is still offering unlimited GOH to Globalists through the 2024 transition year, up until at least Feb 2025 (and Feb 2026 for some people).
If anything, it's even simpler this year because GOH can now be booked online, without involving concierge.

What is the added value from these "certificates" which justifies the higher asking price? Am I missing something?

What's the best way to accept payment when selling sua and goh? I don't want to transfer it and get scammed for no money

Certificates can be used on cash rates while traditional guest of honor cannot. If booked on points, certificates also allow the points to come from any account, while traditional guest of honor requires the points to come from the globalist account. You also have no way of booking traditional guest of honor until you have exhausted all of your certificates, which are innately more valuable due to their increased flexibility in booking. The ability to book traditional guest of honor also comes with some drawbacks, namely once you have exhausted all of your certificates, you no longer have any method of booking guest of honor reservations on cash rates and are exclusively limited to booking with points from your account.

How is it a sellers market when it seems like nobody is buying? Seems like thereís just an abundance of them now.  Thereís no justification for it to be $150 -  I agree with Fly here, considering the transition period.

That's just their asking price, gotta start somewhere.  This is all brand new so the market will eventually set the price but that takes some time to work out.

Huh? You can use certificates without point availability?

No, he's referring to the new GOH awards.  They just used the wrong word.

GOH awards can be applied to cash stays.  Legacy GOH cannot.
