from what i read, it is true that if i gift a GOH and no matter the length of stay 1 - 7 nights; I the person who gifted the GOH would get one night credit to my account. this happens usually 24 - 72 hours after the guest checked out. i used it 4 times on my family members.

You do get an EQN when someone uses your GoH. I had the same stipulation when giving some of mine away to friends.

Upon completion of the registered guest’s stay, the Member originally gifting the Guest of Honor Award for that stay will receive credit for one (1) Tier-Qualifying Night in the program – regardless of the length of the guest’s stay

Up until 12/31/24, Globalists can still do unlimited GOH gift reservations. You only need to ask your concierge.

The other person is asking a good question. Why do you need GOH if you’re globalist? 🤔

And seller is correct. Seller gets 1 night credit, if they gift a GOH and it is used by the receiver. Checkout must be before 12/31/24 to count for this year, but it may take a few days to post.

One thing both of you are a bit off about is $40 being market rate for GOH used by EOY. At this time of the year, market rate for the new GOH and bookings before 12/31/24 is actually $0.

Been getting them for free on some other groups, as globalists are desperate to give it to someone with a valid booking before 12/31/24 checkout for the EQN. The price strangely hasn’t reflected here yet, but I imagine it will be close to $0 before the EOY.

Edit: just surprised the seller didn’t sell it to you for $40. You’re overpaying by $40 and 12/25 checkout is good enough for the EQN.

There is no need for a globalist to give a GOH for free to some anonymous person in a forum.  they can easily give it to. a family member or a friend or a business associate.   

There are a lot more ways to use the GOH and get double credit without having to deal with unknown people
