Note, they can be used after the expiration date so long as the booking is made beforehand

I know. But i do not have my vacation plans set yet, and i cannot plan my business travel, that far in advance. Besides that i really do not need a suite, when travelling on biz, but i figured why let them go to waste.

What would happen if you make the booking for after the expiration date and then at some point in the future (after the exp has passed) you want to change the date/hotel?

I am pretty sure the same thing applies to award nights, after the expiration date. But I am not positive.
