I have an upcoming 3 night stay at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver (Cat 3) for 12k/night and I have the 20% back promo so it comes out to 9.6k/night.

I got my free anniversary night and now I'm wondering should I cancel one of the point nights and use the free night instead?

I thought about selling it, but from what I see here, it looks like they're going for $75-$125 and I usually get over 2 CPP when redeeming HGP so for the 9.6k I'd be getting around $200 of value when I use them, and I don't have to deal with the hassle of selling.

The other option is to hold it and see if I'm gonna be staying at a cat 4 in the next year, which I don't except but I can't rule out. I'm leaning towards using it now as a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. (or however that saying goes)

why on earth did the price go down to $75. Its not even worth it for people to keep the card open for that price.

+1, Asia still has a decent amount of good cat 4 hotels, but the Corp rates are often about $100. Look at the Hilton nights selling price, those are only going up. $250-$350. They are more than Marriott, IHG and Hyatt. Probably because of the WA Jlem.
