Yes if you were diamond status when u applied for the Hyatt card.
Otherwise they only work for regular room
At least that's my understanding. I assume the certificates themselves are different.

I was talking to a guy that works for US Aid he spends 10 months a year at one hotel. He had been staying at a Sheraton and when he tried getting points the hotel told him that his govt contract doesn't give points. After threatening them to switch they agreed to give him the points.

He was also in a Y class ticket at full fare paying 4x what I was on a coach ticket.

And then you wonder where your tax dollars are going

I made for my parents a jetBlue getaway package in a Hyatt hotel in mind that I will upgrade them with the CC Suite upgrade.

The res is listed on my fathers name, and I called hyatt quite a few times to add my name (said that I will be arriving earlier, was told that only the hotel directly can do it, was transfered and was told it was added to their remarks).

Call Motzai Shabbos to upgrade, was advised that its possible as its a Chase Upgrade, but has to be dome with the hotel direct, & as they are closed (at that time) I should call back the res line during business hours.

Called back now, was told can not upgrade as its third party booking and its not in my name.

Any workaround?
