I have the Chase sapphire preferred card and have a lot of points.
I'm looking at the Hyatt Confidante in Miami Beach for 3 nights in January, where the rack rate is $194 per night (excluding $25 daily resort fee).
In points, it's 25000 points per night.

So, should I transfer Chase points to Hyatt points and book via Hyatt with points? Or should I book with the 1.5 cents redemption option with Chase UR?
With which one would I get more value? And does anyone know if I pay by points, can I avoid paying the room taxes?

I'd appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.

it is much better to book through the chase portal as 25k points gets you $375 worth of travel which more than covers the resort fee and taxes plus you will earn hyatt points on the reservation as well

The most worth it would be to hold all the points and pay for the room with cash but if thats not an option, then through the portal is better.

Because chase points *can* be used for more than 1.5c per point. But its not terrible if you do redeem it for that amount.
