A Globalist could do a guest of honor booking for you and then you would be the only one on the reservation, they don't have to use certificates to do that though they could use points. I doubt one person has 4 certificates in their account because they expire.

Are certificates transferable? If it were a single night I’d have no issues but I’m planning a 4 night stay...

They're not transferable in the sense that they can be 'moved' between accounts but they can be used to book stays for others yes.

don't overpay, just because there is a scarcity of 4 in one account doesn't mean you should overpay.

browsed through the previous few pages and looks like ~130 is the norm? im ok with paying a premium since its not just the scarcity of 4 nights, but also the repute of who im buying from.

this is for a stay in Tokyo in December so 550 probably won't get me very far if I book rack rates
