1. How are the certs applied (i.e can I be gifted a cert or do you add my name to your booking)?
2. If the booking was canceled (covid lockdown etc) what would happen to the cert?

2- once you buy a certificate, you own it and are responsible to use it before the expiration date, unless other agreements are made with your buyer

I have a globalist status with couple of confirmed suite upgrades to burn. Stay must be completed by 12/31.
Cert is not transferable so reservation must be made from my account. For paid say or  I can do points free night booking too (preferred method as booking can be made under your name) and you still get full Globalist benefit including free parking on points stay. If you can find a 7 free night availability at Andaz Maui, I can book you into a suite with a swim up pool and free full breakfast for 2 adults and 2 children every day and free parking for your entire stay. You can save thousands. Let your dream come true.

A bit of clarification... I learned that Hyatt changed the policy since last time I did the "Guest of honor" booking from my Globalist account and applied one of my suite upgrades that this is not allowed... or may be I was lucky last couple of times. So I can't do this any more.
Anyways, I am also not looking to sell my Hyatt points... you transfer your points to me and I book it under my Globalist account under "Guest of Honor" benefit instead of just booking it on your account. So best value can be had at locations that provides good globalist benefits... think lavish breakfast... especially if you are planning to travel with children and hotels has very expensive parking's like US domestic city locations. and your travel date has high chance of room upgrade at the time of check in (you can get up to Suite when available). So if you are couple traveling to all inclusive resorts or not really into breakfast then there isn't much point booking through me. Idea is to share my globalist benefits including possible upgrades at locations where benefits are greatest.

Separately I have two 1-4 category free night certs for sale from 1 discoverist account. $130 each or $250 for both if booked at once. Reservation booked under your name.
Then I also have another cat 4 cert from my Globalist account $150, this one can be booked using guest of honor so you will get full Globalist benefits.
