Do you get any benefits by booking these? I know the Guest of Honor does, but I'm curious how you can offer this service for free.

They're not offering GOH though they're offering to book your stay out of their own account and add you as a second guest so they get the night credit for your stay. Lots of us willing to do that to try and requalify for Globalist this year since you need 60 nights.

what happen if the hotel/resort insists the primary acct holder present to check in? any folks had that issue at Hyatt Baha Mar?
