GOH can be applied during or after booking.
Both cannot be applied to same booking.

SUA can be applied only after booking.
GOH can be applied during or after booking.
Both cannot be applied to same booking.

For example take the Bahamas Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. What would i gain with one over the other if i used a GOH vs a SUA?

If you can find a Globalist to book you as Guest of Honor via the legacy method then you are still able to apply a SUA to the reservation. The legacy method is only available for Globalists this year. You just cannot apply multiple awards to the same booking.

AFAIK, SUA is not allowed with legacy GOH as well. May be it’s not a system limitation and so the MHC might do. Regular globalist line will definitely not do if not allowed per policy.

fyi the hotels are cracking down more and more. I had a globalist book a stay for me and put me down as a second guest..Upon check in they asked if to see ID of the Globalist. I told them he is coming later. They refused to give me an of the perks a globalist would have without seeing him...I lost out..

more and more..? how many experiences have you had where this has happened. If you are basing this on one, its not a data point

This will happen once in a while and the hotel will not honor the benefits. Its their prerogative and they can refuse. In my experience this happens very little in the Usa and a little more in foreign countries especially countries that are required to collect passport info.

This is minority of the instances but if this has happened to you 4-5 times then le tus know where and when and it will help the community

All they wanted was his ID? You couldn't pull that off and ask whomever for a picture?
