more and more..? how many experiences have you had where this has happened. If you are basing this on one, its not a data point

This will happen once in a while and the hotel will not honor the benefits. Its their prerogative and they can refuse. In my experience this happens very little in the Usa and a little more in foreign countries especially countries that are required to collect passport info.

This is minority of the instances but if this has happened to you 4-5 times then les us know where and when and it will help the community

so the one solution in a case like this is the following

1) you have an agreement with the seller that if this happens he/she will change the award to GOH when you check in and have an issue. This can be done last minute

The last thing you want to do is argue with the agent cause this jeopardizes the account holders account  and becomes subject to  audit.

I generally don't deal with brokers and newbies because of this exact reason.  I wish we had clear rules in this forum about transparency on broker deals as we have a lot of shady brokers who do high volume stuff and dont necessarily care about your accounts.  Not saying all brokers but many

I am a regular guy have been using some from DDF for two+ years..its not his fault and  i know not to make a stink so his account doesnt get audited.I just said ok, if/when he shows hell come with his ID otherwise we just wont get the perks.
