In this trip, such as my other recent trips, I get a separate satisfaction (besides the sightseeing and so on), knowing that for the smallest amount of money (miles = money), I got to see the most (if in upper class, even more so), while offsetting as much carbon emission as possible.
My trip started in vegas, and stopped for quite some time in europe, to proceed to the far east, and returning to europe, where the stopover is taking place Now as I type. I still have a trip credit, to return to vegas. (It is all one ticket).
For the first time I ran into the issue of being restricted to 16 segments (star alliance rule), and I was so close to the maximum permitted mileage, that I had to switch between 2 airports in the same city, to make it just below the maximum.
Falling on a nice agent with zero geography knowledge is one thing, but their software blocks max mileage, and trips containing over 16 segments.
(Will be continued whenever)
