SF's Far East Report
« on: July 17, 2011, 05:58:29 AM »
Hi,

I've been asked to write out a report, but cannot be bothered for the moment.

My previous reports also didn't seem to have become NY Times bestsellers.

For the moment I reserved a spot.

T2UL.

In this trip, such as my other recent trips, I get a separate satisfaction (besides the sightseeing and so on), knowing that for the smallest amount of money (miles = money), I got to see the most (if in upper class, even more so), while offsetting as much carbon emission as possible.

My trip started in vegas, and stopped for quite some time in europe, to proceed to the far east, and returning to europe, where the stopover is taking place Now as I type. I still have a trip credit, to return to vegas. (It is all one ticket).

For the first time I ran into the issue of being restricted to 16 segments (star alliance rule), and I was so close to the maximum permitted mileage, that I had to switch between 2 airports in the same city, to make it just below the maximum.

Falling on a nice agent with zero geography knowledge is one thing, but their software blocks max mileage, and trips containing over 16 segments.

(Will be continued whenever)

I'm in lazy* mode...

Will pics do...

*lazy, meaning: [v. oh-ver-wurk; n. oh-ver-wurk]
–verb (used with object)
1.
to cause to work too hard, too much, or too long; weary or exhaust with work (often used reflexively): Don't overwork yourself on that new job.
2.
to work up, stir up, or excite excessively: to overwork a mob to the verge of frenzy.
3.
to employ or elaborate to excess: an appeal for sympathy that has been overworked by many speakers.

Hanoi, Vietnam

Park Hyatt Hanoi  ;)

5:30am, people doing Tai CHi, my cameras lens had some condensation from the switch from airco to the extreme humidity.

This dude (they are older than they appear) insisted on me sitting on the back of his motorbike for a drive, and I insisted on holding an umbrella as it was pouring.

In vietnam, and other places in far east, there is this window between the bedroom looking into the bathroom, with the curtains on the side of the room. can anyone explain that to me please.
