Topic Wiki

I am trying to put a list together of the pro's and cons of the main bassinet strollers:

UppaBaby (UB)
PRO:
so easy to push
great basket (HUGE)
the bassinet is easy to take on and off
the wheels are easy to remove if need be
folds in a sinch
handle bar is great for tall and short people
the rumble seat lets the kid sit like a human being (not slide down)
the break is easy to push and doesnt break easily
the lay back position is great for kids who need to sleep on the go
the sun visor is a life savor
option to use with car seat (need to purchase the adapter)
fantastic customer service

con:
its wide but still easy to push
it can be heavy for some
the lock to close the stroller (it broke on mine)

genius or crazy?

Enough of what he's feeling, lets hear how the baby feels. If baby needs a helmet I'll go with crazy. What happens when it hits a crack in the sidewalk ?

What car seat do people use with the Uppababy? Do you need an adapter to use it with other car seats?

We used the Chicco and an adapter, yes.

If you want adaptorless you probably have to go with the UB Mesa. It's relatively new, so not much info in this thread about it. Seems comparable to the Chicco though.

Do you need to take out the adapter to put in the bassinet/stroller. Is it annoying?

That's what I figured but seems like it's a fortune and we already have a Britax and Graco infant seat

The graco and chicco adapters are pretty similar. The maxi-cosi adapter is much less obtrusive, but you probably have to take it off for the bassinet anyway.

We just got it, the wife is very happy with it! Extremely convenient, and very easy to use, wheels very well. It weighs 16 lbs which is a bit heavier than the typical snap n go.

Not sure if it's still made but the citi micro is basically a smaller citi mini.
