Topic Wiki

I am trying to put a list together of the pro's and cons of the main bassinet strollers:

UppaBaby (UB)
PRO:
so easy to push
great basket (HUGE)
the bassinet is easy to take on and off
the wheels are easy to remove if need be
folds in a sinch
handle bar is great for tall and short people
the rumble seat lets the kid sit like a human being (not slide down)
the break is easy to push and doesnt break easily
the lay back position is great for kids who need to sleep on the go
the sun visor is a life savor
option to use with car seat (need to purchase the adapter)
fantastic customer service

con:
its wide but still easy to push
it can be heavy for some
the lock to close the stroller (it broke on mine)

the one downside to the GT is it is very back heavy and if you pt bags on the back it is more prone to tip back.
I'd say the same about the non-GT (which is what I have). Maybe the GT is a little worse, but I can't imagine it being a reason not to get it.

Check the returns at BuyBuyBaby, a lot of times they have great deals on used strollers that are actually just open box.
PishPoshBaby.com has alot of open-box strollers and car seats, but you ave to call them to see what they have available and price (or just stop by their showroom)

I've used the swift for a few years now with the carrycot as well. I'm very happy with it. Its thinner & lighter than the urban jungle. I'm considering getting the swift duet now.

Is the actual stroller convertible? Or is it two separate pieces?

Any recommendations on a stroller that is fit for a newborn and the actual seat can convert for when they are older? Not two separate pieces.
Something under $700.
I'm in Israel so weight would be an issue

I got my swift a few years ago. The seat it comes with could be used for newborns & older, as you can loosen the strap & then it lays down. You can buy the carrycot separately if you want the newborn facing you. Its like a bassinet.

Anybody have any experience with the Keyfit travel systems? Especially together with the Bravo stroller. I'm curious as to whether it pushes very smoothly (compared to say, a City Mini), and how well/compactly it folds in various modes - especially with the car seat adapter bar in place.

Is there a reason not to buy a once-used 2011 UB Vista from Craigslist vs a 2015 one from Nordstrom? Have the features changed much?
