Topic Wiki

I am trying to put a list together of the pro's and cons of the main bassinet strollers:

UppaBaby (UB)
PRO:
so easy to push
great basket (HUGE)
the bassinet is easy to take on and off
the wheels are easy to remove if need be
folds in a sinch
handle bar is great for tall and short people
the rumble seat lets the kid sit like a human being (not slide down)
the break is easy to push and doesnt break easily
the lay back position is great for kids who need to sleep on the go
the sun visor is a life savor
option to use with car seat (need to purchase the adapter)
fantastic customer service

con:
its wide but still easy to push
it can be heavy for some
the lock to close the stroller (it broke on mine)

Thanks

The ones I linked to are not umbrella strollers?

I have $100 credit to smartmomma.com from the amex promo so would prefer to buy from there.

I wouldn't get a Bug even if it was half the price of an UBV.
Check that, even if it was free, v"dl ;)

Is the UB that much better? I have the UB and i think its good and never tried the Bug...are there any advantages the Bug has over the UB?

do you find the lack of a fullish recline to be an issue? also, how much of a difference would an 11 lb stroller vs a 17 lb one be?

Not really, but my daughter never sleeps in the stroller anyways. If I had a kid that did, it would probably be more bothersome
I assume very big

Depends where you live, if you are on the 3rd floor without an elevator I can imagine every ounce counts...

My daughter isn't a newborn, but it's stroller-talk nonetheless....

Just was wondering if any of you have an umbrella stroller for travelling, and if so which one
Heard abt the inglesina swift and the gluxe
Have the UBV, but planning to travel to Europe for a few days and want something lightweight and easy to travel with

Daughter will iyh be about 9 months, wants something that folds easily and compactly, reclines, good sun canopy, and relatively comfortable too. Of course, inexpensive too!  ;D

Any suggestions? Experiences?
