Topic Wiki

I am trying to put a list together of the pro's and cons of the main bassinet strollers:

UppaBaby (UB)
PRO:
so easy to push
great basket (HUGE)
the bassinet is easy to take on and off
the wheels are easy to remove if need be
folds in a sinch
handle bar is great for tall and short people
the rumble seat lets the kid sit like a human being (not slide down)
the break is easy to push and doesnt break easily
the lay back position is great for kids who need to sleep on the go
the sun visor is a life savor
option to use with car seat (need to purchase the adapter)
fantastic customer service

con:
its wide but still easy to push
it can be heavy for some
the lock to close the stroller (it broke on mine)

Go for the UB. You'll create ur own identity. :D

Oh and its much better!
Better in every possible way.  And it's really not that much bulkier than the Bugaboo.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

I agree that its better and tried to convince my wife, but she's really on the small size and the ub handle doesn't go low enough for her and its just not comfy to push. Imagine pushing a carriage with your wrists bent up...
And in our test drives she felt like it was a truck...more so than any other carriage we tried.
So now its between the moms & pops and bugaboo

Doesn't the UB have adjustable handle? I'm 5'2" and I can push my UB when the handle is higher without a problem..
Why don't you go to a baby store to try out the different strollers and then decide? You don't need to buy from that store..

Yes it does but the lowest setting was still to high for my wife. It hurt her wrists and wasn't comfy to push. Of course we went to the store to test drive them. That's how we narrowed it down to the bugaboo or moms&pops sola.

The wiki should be easy. Just write
" the UBV is the one and only carriage for any self respecting DDF'r"

I have the donkey as a single and i love it. It is more expensive then the UBV and Cam but it converts to a double side by side which is what I want when I need a double. My friends who used the ubv as a double only used it short term till they got a real double since they said it really was not practical at all. Also there is a big diff on the wheels of the bugaboo and ubv. bugaboo uses air filled wheels in the donkey (not sure about cam) which handle much better than the foam filled ones on ubv

I've read that the UBV wheels are better for that very reason, and no need to keep pumping air into the tire

The cameleon tires are foam, not air filled.

While searching for carriages I came across this site www.tushiewipers.com
Its baby products reviews but the info on there seems old.

UB wheels kill the competition bar none. My wife is very short and has no issue with the UB

The bugs have no place for a normal diaper bag whereas an UB can fit an insane amount of bags. Its just so much more practical. I wish they had a real double.

Don't think I can convince my wife. We tried the ub and it hurts her wrists even on the lowest setting. And she feels like its a truck.
What can a man do??
