Topic Wiki

I am trying to put a list together of the pro's and cons of the main bassinet strollers:

UppaBaby (UB)
PRO:
so easy to push
great basket (HUGE)
the bassinet is easy to take on and off
the wheels are easy to remove if need be
folds in a sinch
handle bar is great for tall and short people
the rumble seat lets the kid sit like a human being (not slide down)
the break is easy to push and doesnt break easily
the lay back position is great for kids who need to sleep on the go
the sun visor is a life savor
option to use with car seat (need to purchase the adapter)
fantastic customer service

con:
its wide but still easy to push
it can be heavy for some
the lock to close the stroller (it broke on mine)

Get a generic bag. Works just as well and fraction of price.

thats bec i live 6000 miles away from the closest BBB dummy. Though when i didnt like the way my stroller was wheeling i brought it i with no questions asked and got a brand new one on the spot. Don't be lazy, thats why were on ddf. :D. In addition to correct you my brand new stroller is in someone's house (not sure whose) waiting for me. Plus then ull have used ur gc to get a regular credit in BBB.

i know ur not lazy. Hence the smily. It was joke. But honestly. No need to drop a c-note for no reason. BBB has an exceptional return policy.

I can just see it happening. Coming off the plane, wheels broken, fabric ripped. Now what am I suppose to do.

It can be very frustrating being on a trip and having a broken stroller.

You think they have a BBB in HKT ;)

lol. Though personally the worst that can happen is ur break is broken. Or the snap to close it is broken. Not big things.

So far we've convinced Rafi that the $79 UBV rumble seat is the Rafi Train (even have a song to go along) and he's used it a few times without complaining (snacks and books help).

Here's hoping it'll work out as it's so darn convenient.  The double stroller options all seem to stink.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

my sis in law has this.
she finds it easier to push with the heavier kid in the lower end.

We have the Valco quad with the joey seat. Works gr8 for toddler baby combo, toddlers love sitting in front.
With two toddlers it's not novena. No leg room in back and they can't see.
Need a real double that's easy to push.

Will it work?

YMMV.  My wife has had success with BBB using coupons on items they aren't technically allowed to give the 20% off.

im not sure where to post, but i have an UBV and its great. one issue we have is that we feed my son on the go a lot, his cheerios, or puffs, and so on, the fabric gets filthy and dirty. as well the upside down bottle doesnt do any good either.

any advise on what to do? i just got a brand new stroller, so im hoping to buy a cover for the fabric.... make sense?

You can buy a fabric liner.  I just wash it with a damp cloth.

My sister bought an Uppa Baby about 2 years ago. She's only been using it for about a year and not too often. She washed the fabric for the first time and it came out with 2 holes in it.  She's never had that with any of her other strollers.

Anything I can do at this point?
Call UppaBaby? BuyBuyBaby?

Call UB.  It's out of warranty, but they will most probably help.
Also, if it's within 2 years and she bought it on amex she would have extended warranty as well

Its that time when i need to start looking at double strollers,
& i've just spent the last hour reading through all 22 pages & i still haven't decided,
i currently have a snap-n-go, the bugaboo cameleon (didn't have a choice) & citi mini single.
I'm leaning towards getting the citi mini double with car seat adaptor though i hear its a PITA to fold into the car with the adaptor
or is there any way of converting the chameleon into a double?

what should i go for??

also does anyone have experience with this?
