Sorry if it wasn't clear. He billed the tax cut as for the middle working class and his taxes would go up. Is it true his taxes will go up?

Neither I nor anyone else said that he or any other politician fulfilled every aspect of every promise they made. Politicians were never accused of honesty. He promised a tax cut to the middle class and they got it. He promised to reduce corp taxes. Check. AMT, check. Estate tax, not eliminated but reduced significantly. Now your problem is that he personally won't be paying higher? That is the whole issue?

I have no clue whether my taxes will go up or down, I sincerely hope they go up substantially.

I haven't yet filed 2016, and I think 2017 was substantially better, looking forward to an even better 2018. Though I definitely do welcome the increase in child tax credit (the fact that I had a baby in 2017 extends the usefulness of that), I am not yet sure whether I will be able to benefit from the 20% deduction for passthrough entitites, need to study the final details. If I will be able to take advantage of that, it will definitely be very helpful.

Going by the tax foundations numbers, this bill increases the deficit by ~5%. This tax plan is not the issue nor does it do much to make the issue worse. We do not have a revenue isssue, we have a spending issue and it needs to be fixed regardless of this tax plan.

No one is being forced off of insurance. Why do you feel the need to "help" someone who's screaming that he does not want you to help him? It's mind boggling how someone can think that we are hurting someone by allowing them to choose.

My point is that you're going to see everyone who can restructure themselves to take advantage of the preferential treatment to 'owners' and 'contractors' over employees. Businesses still being able to deduct SALT is an example. Those best positioned to do that are the wealthy.
