Lower class, middle lower class. Upper lower class, lower middle class, middle middle class, upper middle class, etc..?

If you just want to say middle class then I would say 100k is top end.

I'll give them 3 kids,  and no itemizing.

They pay 2700, and are saving 3200

Seems like a pretty awesome tax cut

But paying 2.7k in taxes so you consider them rich. So you are saying awesome tax cut for the rich. 

Also why are you using 3 kids when the average is not even 2?

The way I see it, is middle class is not defined by a specific income range- as there are so many factors that can affect how far your income can get you, like where you live just to sate one. IMO, middle class is anyone that is getting by, without govt help, not necessarily living pay check to paycheck but close enough that if they would lose a paycheck it would be felt.

1 kids - 6.7k FIT
2 kids - 4.7k FIT

That's good. I think they should pay more than 2k. And they do.

Thats fine, again whats that got to do with anything? its the people making a bit more than that that have it the hardest, imo. give this family another 25k-50k and see what they're paying in fit.  They're the ones that need the tax cut the most.

Those and million of others who don't have enough to pay things like their kids tuition. I am shocked that you don't feel they need the help the most.

You think someone paying 2k in taxes is rich. What class is someone that pays 6.7k in FIT? It seems you don't have a grasp of what middle income family's have to deal with.

Everything the same as your previous example, no need to plug it in- they're in the 22% bracket at that point so thats an additional 11,000. In ny they'd also be paying iver 3300 in additional state taxes.
