Increased Credit Line
« on: September 08, 2015, 10:51:13 PM »
I just noticed that Chase added 7K to my credit line without requesting it. Any idea why or when these things happen? I'd rather get a new card than have an increased line on one of my Ink Cards

So apply for a new card.

Do you think this is their way of saying a new application is overdue? ;)

I set my accounts to not allow them to add CL without my permission.
I try to keep my Chase lines low (as opposed to Citi or BofA who give out CLs like candy.)

How liberal they are. If your CL with Chase is too high, it will make it hard to get new approvals.

So in my situation I need to see if a new card will get approved. I had a few turned down about 6-8 months ago for applying for too many cards so I've been focusing more on AMEX cards recently. If they added CL that probably won't help my cause.

Can't you just ask them to move over CL for a new card?
