I signed up for the consumer card using Dan's links in the beginning of August when this promo was alive and well. I'm havign the same problem with the bonus 20K not being posted after 4500 spend. I sent an SM and got a response that I am not eligible...
I wrote back "I applied for this card during the 30,000 public promo for spending $4,500 and there's no reason that the promo shouldn't be on my account. I remember explicitly on the application that I filled out online (and I have a print out as well) where it stated that I would receive a bonus 20,000 starpoints after 4,500 spend.
Here is the response I got:
We appreciate your interest in the better offer, however, please understand that we cannot link better offers on the Card accounts.
I understand that this may be disappointing to you, but because many of our offers are targeted to specific types of Cardmember, you can expect to see various promotions throughout the year for which you may be eligible.
Our intent is to provide offers that will appeal to various interests and different types of people.
Secondly, we at email servicing cannot contact New Accounts Team, therefore, I am sorry to say that we are unable to verify it with Courtney.
I would appreciate your understanding that we are bound by certain Policies and Procedures and sometimes we may not be able to completely satisfy your needs due to this reason.
