Nancy Pelosi, Orrin Hatch, and Donald Trump agree on this being a good thing and yet so many Jews are mourning this.
Pathetic.
Some of us don't agree with the response and fanfare to which much of the frum community is reacting. Sure his sentence was too long, but he's not a hero and doesn't deserve a hero's welcome. The government changed its mind about the details of the conviction, but it's no reason to celebrate to such an extent.

The celebration was for his effective life sentence being commuted to the 8 years he served. Something that Orrin Hatch called a Chanukah miracle.

If he was sentenced to 8 years, none of the calibrations would be going on

Also, it is empirical fact that he was the head of a company that had violations even if he wasn't personally guilty.
You have some serious issues. I could only imagine your daily interpersonal relationships and dealings. I  suggest you start doing some soul searching. Maybe start learning a musser sefer or book 5 minutes a day. You'll live a much happier life and people will enjoy being around you. You're welcome in advance.

Not sure how what I said warrants an ad hominem attack. Sorry I don't celebrate convicted felons to the same extent as you do.

There was no ad hominem attack. It was purely based on what you wrote here

Taken out of context. I was referring to the shower and bed someone mentioned that he probably wants.

You are free not to celebrate and keep it to yourself. But interjecting into a celebratory discussion with the comments you made, just seems to paint a certain image of your personality.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Maybe stop being so judgemental of people with labels such as convicted felon. They're still human beings. I'm speaking from personal experience. We screwed up paid our debt to society and should be treated as rehabilitated members of society.

My personal goal is to ultimately be rehabilitated to a point where I'm deserving of a pardon. Will that ever happen I don't know no one knows. Put the label me a convicted felon for the rest of my life without taking into account any of the good that I've done before or since my felony conviction is an ad hominem attack on your part.

That being said , When the punishment far exceeds the crime and it is cut short there is cause to celebrate.
Fair warning - Any PMs sent in response to forum posts are fair game for ridicule in public.

No convicted felon unless it was a miscarriage of justice deserves a pardon. This is not directed at you, this case or any other felon.
