Now you get caught and pull a aygart. He never pleaded guilty to and state charges that we are talking about.
Please show one post were I said he was guilty of any state charges? PUOSU!!!
I pulled an Agart? But I didn't mention halacha once!
You can't invent a claim, put it in my mouth and then ask me to PUOSU. That makes no sense.
To recap, because you seem to be having trouble following this conversation:
Zh revived this thread mentioning state charges, for which Rubashkin was acquitted.
You say, "Hey, did you guys know there were kids there? There was testimony and everything"
Everyone, "Yes, but he was acquitted because they proved he had no knowledge."
You, "But there was a plea bargain. That proves there were kids. And the pope."
Gozalim, "The plea proves nothing"
You, "There were kids. The pope."
Gozalim, "So say that. Why mention the plea?" (this implies he agrees there were underage workers.)
"Because it proves there were kids."
"No it doesn't. It doesn't prove a thing. New owners don't know what happened. I don't know what happened. I wasn't there. Rubashkin was acquitted, the plea was for legal reasons."
"But the pope"
Me, "No one denies underage workers were there."
You take half a line completelly out of context, "Gotcha! Plus I never said Rubashkin had knowledge! PUOSU!"
Your point in this thread, as it is on many other threads, is to play a sort of objective outsider. We think there was a gross injustice, and you say, "well, he was really guilty of other stuff, he deserved much more than you guys think."
Often you are correct. We might see antisemitism where there is none. We might feel victimized when we are not. It's good to have someone with a different perspective who can enlighten us and correct wrong-headed thinking.
But in this thread (and the MLB thread
it ) you are simply wrong. There was a massive prosecutorial and judicial break down. You don't like Rubashkin as a person? That's your prerogative. But please spare us the sanctimony.
Good night and good luck.
