Amazon is pretty strict with their appraisals. I once traded in a camera in perfect condition, and they downgraded it to give me a smaller amount.

I think that YMMV. I have already traded successfully but my last trade was returned for no apparent reason (didn’t ask, just sold on eBay for more).

That is if someone thinks it's worth selling on eBay. Good MS but mediocre profit. From experience Canon refurbs can be faulty and it's a headache dealing with returns as Canon's customer service is very time consuming.

Yea, after you talk to customer service and technical support. I've been there done that when I started e-commerce and learnt long ago that there are simpler ways to have better profit margins.
