For these specific dates yea, forgot that easy jet doesn’t fly from Zurich but they do from GVA or CDG. The flights add 3 hours, CDG is west of ZRH, TLV is east. Lastly check out the seating arrangements. Cool deal on paper, terrible in practice.

For some people it may be worth the lounge access, extra miles, extra space, boarding priority and baggage.

Europeans aren't stupid enough to think they are getting lie flat in biz on AF zrh-tlv.
Just like americans don't think they getting lie flat in biz on a route like nyc-mia.
I suppose some americans ARE stupid enough to expect lie flat on AF zrh-tlv so you may actually be helping them by pointing it out

There are a few levels between economy and lie-flat when it comes to airline seats. Many won't consider fake J to be one of those levels. It's the exact same seat as economy.

It would be costing $220 and doubling the travel time. There are good Priority Pass options in ZRH. How much does the extra luggage cost to buy in Y? You are paying quite a bit to have an empty seat next to you and priority boarding.

Except that you can fly lie-flat ZRH-TLV as well as NYC-MIA.

I would rather fly Y NYC-FLL than lie-flat NYC-MIA if those were my choices (assuming similar prices).

Luggage is actually quite cheap on af intra euro $20 if you have basic ffp at af (silver)
