Wondering if I should cancel my UA and CO cards now in order to get approved for these in the near future

Any suggestions?

Check out the release.
Jumped to bash it a little fast.

Upgrades on mileage tickets, last seat awards. I like!

Upgrades are nice for award seats, but overall I still think the offer is lacking.

The details in Dan's post all say that the CO OPP will be converting sometime next year and that we can call to have it converted earlier.  If I convert my CO OPP, do you know if the benefits (early boarding, etc) will apply to CO flights as well?  Or just United?

Never mind, I found the answer in another link -  benefits DO extend to CO and UA flights.

I don't think you need to convert the CO OPP, all of those benefits should apply automatically on CO and UA flights.
While the signup bonus isn't as exciting as expected, the benefits are quite rewarding for elite and non-elites.

What's quite rewarding for non-elites?

Priority Boarding, non-expiring miles, free baggage, last seat EP awards, in-flight discounts, etc.

Right, but nothing great over what the CO OP was.

So then what's so great for elites? Don't they get most of these benefits already anyway?

Upgrades on awards is pretty big. Especially, upgrades will be according to status. So 1K on an award will go before PremEx, Premiers.

UA Sig has none of those features and CO OPP didn't have priority boarding or last seat EP.

What does EP stand for?

Is anyone also getting this after you log onto your mileage plus you get an offer for the MP explorer card for a 60k offer?

Oh, nice, I guess there is indeed a better targeted offer after all..

What page does it link you to? Can we get the URL(s) please?
