For 23 hour u have enough time to go into a heimish area called antwerp where u have excellent restaurants
Already have a hotel booked for BRU, and I would have to pay a cancellation fee. Besides for the food, is Antwerp better than Brussels in any way? We can bring food with us if need be to make do in Brussels.

I believe Antwerp is more interesting, but you could combine actually.

If u think brussles is interesting then antwerp is the same antwerp from the airport is about 45 minutes and u have everything there from food to shops to the kleinblatt bakery ,

Well, if there's any place remotely "Belgian", we would love to try that. If we can, avoid the all-in-one type of place that serves Italian, Chinese, Israeli, and burgers all under one roof, because nothing ends up tasting that good. Otherwise we aren't picky.

Probably meat. Also, is the diamond district worth going to? Would prices be any better than diamond districts in any other city (i.e., Manhattan/Los Angeles)?

It's a small place, so process are the same everywhere in the city. Depending how you get to Antwerp, you most likely almost bump into the surround area anyway. Look at the beginning of the thread.
