Any network admins out there who can help me with an issue I'm having with SSH on an Ubuntu 16.04 virtual server?

What issue are you experiencing?

I'm considering to configure apache mpm to  event and php to php-fpm with fastcgi on
Ubuntu 18
apache 2.4
php 7.2
because I want to enable http/2 and http/2 doesn't work with prefork.
Do you have such setup are there any drawbacks I should be aware of?

My issue is long resolved.

I'm a novice and your question is way over my head.

I'm glad you posted.  Now I'll page you for any future issues I may have.  :)

Wrong thread really...belongs here https://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=27868.new;topicseen#new

Anyhow. A live CD cannot fix problems, it can "help you" fix problems...so boot from the live CD and check what you could get to and what not.

But from what you're saying it seems to be a hard drive issue, so live CD will most likely not help you anything.

I would like to setup a cloud desktop on DO just for web browsing and file management, i would want to fit in the smallest droplet so need something that's light on resources

I need help selecting the following:
  • light linux distro
  • simple light desktop GUI
  • speedy RDP or VNC
  • lightweight browser closest to chrome

Thanks

Why would one use a cloud desktop for web browsing? I would suggest either making your cloud instance into your personal socks proxy ie. ssh hostname -D 2001 and set your browser to use socks proxy 127.0.0.1 port 2001 or enable X11 ssh forwarding, and ssh to the instance, and run the X Windows applications remotely. If you are using Windows, install Xming to be your X11 display server.
