Why's it silly? There's a major issue with antibiotic resistance, and it keeps getting worse. If someone will get better either way, it's much better not to use antibiotics.

There’s also a serious issue w a bacterial infection that spreads. Don’t give it for everything, but making a blanket rule of not prescribing unless someone has a fever is silly.

They don't prescribe for strep without fever, I'm not sure why it's different than what you're saying.
