Menu? What menu?
They just asked us what we liked and the food was quite good.
It's not a must see attraction, but the train line from NRT to chabad is very inexpensive and if you have 10 hours I don't see why its not worth a stop.
when i was there in march, there was also a group they were cooking for. so although the food was cooked to order, they gave us choices of only 2 mains each night.
first night was ahi tuna steak which was delicious, and spaghetti and meatballs which was borderline inedible. he also gave us some seasoned lotus root which was phenomenal.
second night we had the salmon which was good and schnitzel which was eh.
soup was just ok.
so imo, if one was staying in tokyo, absolutely he should go to the restaurant for some fresh cooked food, but i dont think its something unique which must be tried with limited time (like going to sal meijer in amsterdam etc)
