Hey guys!
I’m planning a 4 day trip to Tokyo for first week of April.

Firstly I’m trying to plan out my food options.

Can anyone confirm that Chana’s Place will be open during that time? (I’ve tried sending them a WhatsApp, unresponsive.) Does anyone have a better contact number for the restaurant or Chabad that they can share please? And can anyone confirm if Chana’s Place will deliver around Tokyo? (I saw something about them using Uber Eats. I’m skeptical if I will be able to figure it all out in case maybe it’s in Japanese. And will it be more expensive per dish? Delivery fee?)

On a different note, normally when I travel I schlep along meals and HotLogic. I’m debating doing that for this trip. But I see it’s not so simple to bring in meat and cheese thru customs. Can anyone share their thoughts? Would love to be able to bring food with me for this trip as local food options there seem like a hassle.

Thanks!

When we were in Tokyo, we mostly ate at Chana's Place but on the day we were leaving, they were able to deliver our lunch to the Andaz, so I know they offer delivery.  Keep in mind, however, that they open around noon and then first begin preparing food.  As a result, you probably wont be able to have food delivered until the early afternoon.
What do you do after your dreams come true?

Anyone here with experience with Pom meals? What is the portion size? Is each meal for 1 adult? I am traveling with wife and baby, and trying to gauge how much to bring.

Super helpful, as always!  Oven or microwavable for Hot-Logic XP?
Quality has gone down since that review, but most dishes are still good.

Oven.

Probably wise to only bring Milchig given the risk of fleshing being seized.. imho

Yes.
I brought in meat on all 3 of my trips to Japan without issue, YMMV of course.

To use the Hot Logic in Japan I can just plug it in without an adapter or transformer?
