Canceling a Turkish airlines awards booking

I called Turkish to cancel a United booking which I booked with Turkish miles, they took my money for the cancellation fee but didn't give me back my points or taxes I paid.

I was told to open a feedback claim and request via feedback portal.


I went ahead and opened a claim via feedback.

I keep getting the runaround, not addressing the issue.

The most recent response I got, was to go to a sales office at the airport.


Anyone here with experience? And we're going down to the airport sales office actually help.

Blogger doesn't mention anything about having to go to an airport. TK is notorious for all sorts of odd issues though... so unfortunately I can't say I'm too shocked to hear this

I had the same situation recently. Took 3 months to get the points back. They also told me about going to the airport and I submitted the feedback form. They kept on not getting it, or asking for more info. And each time I responded, would take a couple weeks for them to reply. I was going to give up and go to DOT, but they finally came through.

If you go this route, be very clear about what you want from them and give them the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card to which you charged the cancellation fee.
