Continental 30k V united 30k card
« on: July 19, 2011, 04:08:14 PM »
I was wondering being that you can transfer points between programs are there any advantages with one card over the other? I am in a rush to get the points. Does one get credited quicker than the other?
PM me to get $100 Tradeking Referal Bonus!

Are you sure the apps for those cards still work?

No difference at all.
Go for both of 'em and the Sapphire and you'll have 163K in no time.

Have people been successful recently in getting Chase to give 3 cards in 1 shot? Most reports I thought I remember seeing ended up with only 2 apps being approved at the same time?

I have done 3 cards with Chase on multiple occasions and gotten all 3 approved with just 1 hit.

After applying for the united, continental and sapphire and getting all the points (163k), do you transfer them and then close the cards?

Once you have the points in your ff account there is no need to transfer them. Also don't close the cards, if you don't like having so many open cards then consolidate the credit lines

You can definitely transfer them to the ff program you prefer I was just saying that there's no need to transfer before cancelling as you won't lose the points.although with the saphire preferred you should transfer before cancelling or else you won't be able to transfer to airlines

Will cancelling the cards effect my credit? Im trying to not ruin my credit but would also like to avoid the annual fee after the first year.

By consolidate, you mean lower my credit line, and switch to a no-fee card?

I mean combine the credit lines of the cards, Or you can try downgrading to a fee free card

Send a SM (secure message) through your online account. you can write whenever you'd like, but you will have to write again after you receive the initial points (and $50 credit). Oh and you cant right to them for a card that doesnt exist yet, so after you apply and you see the account opened online.
