So in a fit of ecstasy I applied for 8 cards this week
I got instant approval on SPG 30k for both me and my wife, which means I now have to spend 9k in the next 3 months. If we both get the Sapph card (pending), I'm looking at an additional 6k. Plus possibly 4 small purchases to meet the requirements on two CO and two UA cards (also pending).
I usually let my boss buy some stuff with my cards but at most he'll spend about 2k every 6 weeks on my cards. And lately it's been slower. The last time I had to meet a big spending requirement I bought Amex GCs and then bought coins but that was over 7 months ago. Is it true GCs don't work at the mint now? Can I buy coins directly with my Sapph cards? If I remember correctly using an Amex card to buy directly from the mint causes problems.
