I was just commenting on Lakewood as a community and on the topic of this thread. It's very simple, Lakewood as a community accepts all brands of chareidi. - whether the women drive or not, and even if she rides a bike. This went way over @shkops head, as he even missed comprehending the topic of the thread. - the discussion is about the various "levels" "chumros" and hanhogos within the charedi communities. - modox have non of these. Both of you are trying to make this about non charedi/modox/conservadox/young Israel. It's the wrong thread and has nothing to do with my comments.
I know what you meant
Every Yid is a Lubavitcher, he or she might just not yet be aware of it
This hurt *me* as a Lubavitcher who has met @mgarfin IRL. That he could walk away from meeting me thinking I don't have a Rebbe stings.
Now that I made sure that my dear friend didn't fall asleep on his watch, we can get to a more serious answer (though as we know in Lubavitch, a Purim Torah has to be 100% true, even if said in somewhat of a light head, so my previous response still stands as 100% accurate).
Well, that's easy: every Lubavitcher is a Yid, he or she might just not yet be aware of it.
Lubavitch may br like seltzer-water with some explosions going on inside of it. Don't get confused between the water and the explosions.
But you do understand how this misconception came about, right?
it's good to be a Lubavitcher
Rebbe and manhig are not the same.
I'm aware, thankyewverymuch.
To me it sounds like jealousy mixed with ignorance.
24 years after the Rebbe's histalkus and yet every Lubavitcher knows who his Rebbe and Manhig is.
הנעלבים ואינם עולבים שומעים חרפתם ואינם משיבים עליהם הכתוב אומר: ואוהביו כצאת השמש בגבורתוknows who his Rebbe and Manhig is = at most מה הוא היה אומר Still missing is a מלאך המכה על ראשו ואומר לו גדל
From what I have gleaned from these forums they call that a mashpia.
Isn't a rabbi also a mashpia? The status only a mashpia was introduced in today age where ppl want to be unaffiliated.Pick and choose, they don't want to add hiskashrus.
I wonder if the sort of things mentioned in the title of the thread has anything to do with people wanting to be unaffiliated...
And if so? Outside of the chassidishe world most people have their rabbi and maybe one or more rabbeim from the yeshiva they went to. Why do they need more than that? Why is it worse than all those who follow the Chazon Ish in this regard?
If we really open this up here we will be on our 4th topic for this thread!
