If we really open this up here we will be on our 4th topic for this thread!
Yes, you and CBC are special snowflakes in your anti-Chabad venom and ability to turn any thread into that.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Rebbe and manhig are not the same.
Absolutely.

Reminds me of the story my FIL tell of when R' Moshe Landa came to pay a Shiva call to his father, when they were sitting Shiva in my FIL's house. The Zayde (my FIL's father) said that "A Rebbe is faran nor einer".  My FIL's older brother asked a certain question, and the story continues. If you're unfamiliar with the story, it could be shared at the next http://forums.dansdeals.com/index.php?topic=88457.0
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I was just commenting on Lakewood as a community and on the topic of this thread.

It's very simple, Lakewood as a community accepts all brands of chareidi. - whether the women drive or not, and even if she rides a bike.

This went way over @shkops head, as he even missed comprehending the topic of the thread. - the discussion is about the various "levels" "chumros" and hanhogos within the charedi communities. - modox have non of these.

Both of you are trying to make this about non charedi/modox/conservadox/young Israel. It's the wrong thread and has nothing to do with my comments.
The challenging part is trying to understand you because you don't always stick to logic. Actually, the discussion is about why some Jewish communities prohibit women from driving. It's not about level and chumros although its weird that you put those words in quotes. Are you saying that levels and chumros don't really exist? Oh, and by the way, the response about non-chareidim is relevant because you made it relevant. You said:

No. I just didn't have time to address Israel and oot.
In Israel the various communities are extremely sectarian. There is nowhere that just accepts any brand of chareidi like Lakewood does.
Yes, there are places like beit shemesh that are very mixed, but they don't blend.

Although it doesn't pair well with:

Oot communities may be very mixed and accepting but nowhere near as varied as Lakewood. You simply don't have the right and left wings all accepting of each other like Lakewood.. some are close though.

...considering that OOT has non-chariedim and Lakewood doesn't.

It could be that you don't view non-chariedim as religious but that would be your anti-semitism, not mine. I am still waiting for you to apologize to Ari daveners for your anti-semitic remark. That would be a menschlich thing to do.

I'm not condoning anything. Just stating the facts on the ground. - within lakwood and it's environs, everyone within the broad spectrum of charaidy is comfortable and accepted. From the extreme yeshivish right wing, extreme chassidishe to the left wing Jean wearing spandex bike wearing nussach Ari daveners etc.

I am unfamiliar with the story, but the scheduling would need to improve for me to attend the next one.

??
If you really want to study the subject try this or text version starting here. Or a very brief into to the subject (from a non-Chabad source) here.

Now, some might say what's the connection to Titus? IMHO it's a question of what reality is all about, is it what we see with our eyes, or what we understand (or know) to be true?

But to touch on the topics very briefly, to the uninitiated. The Gemara in Gittin 56,2 tells of how Titus stabbed the Paroches with his sword, it started bleeding וכסבור הרג את עצמו. So what is the true reality, what Titus witnessed, or was it some kind of העלם והסתר that נורא עלילה על בני אדם created?

How did you know my son's bar mitzva is that day?
So I guess he must have a greater awareness than his father about being a Lubavitcher.  ;D

Yes, you and CBC are special snowflakes in your anti-Chabad venom and ability to turn any thread into that.
You probably are reading @shkops posts, not mine. He is trying very hard to twist my words in this thread to somehow be "anti chabad" anti "Ari daveners" , " anti non charedi" and even anti semitic!

Meanwhile, in reality, in this thread at least, I have expressed nothing but love and acceptance of everyone. Especially chabbadskers.
I have invited all to join our loving and accepting community of Lakewood. And I have not been negative about any other community. Definitly not Israel and OOT.

, I probably deserve a HT
