When leaving causes you to lose out on friends, and family it's not really an easy option.

It's a choice, but not really.

That's a problem that everyone has when leaving his circle he grew up at.

I don't think so, can you point me out one example? I'd rather say just the opposite, things that used to be unacceptable are slowly starting to get לכתחילה
You seem to be talking about general trends

Because these takanos are slowly starting to creep into other communities and become the 'basic standard' instead of takanos.

This seems to be referring to specific cases. The example given is women not being allowed to drive.  Is the above point accurate?

Hmm. What if I wear colored shirts but my wife doesn't have a long sheitel? Is there a school for that?

Probably

You can knock your head on the wall and scream no one wants to accept my children!

Take yourself as an example, do you think everyone wants their kids to be exposed to your type of family (for the good and the bad)!
Even in your CLE, you have 3 types/levels of schools. Watch CLE grow and it will get more and more refined schools.

We can argue the benefit of ALL kids in the same school but will have a hard time drawing the line.

It's nice that you think that but there are plenty of communities that are more polarized.
For eg? Monsey maybe. Otherwise the modern orthodox ones are usually very restrictive and unaccepting of chassidim or yeshivish.
That leaves us with out of town and Israel...

Mild anti-semitism aside, that was bizarre. Not surprised though

That's a problem that everyone has when leaving his circle he grew up at.

It's worse the more "religious" you are.

Actually even that isn't 100 percent true always.

Chassidish kids tend to get kicked out and less accepted more than say a sephardi kid who also leaves.

Meanwhile that's in regards more to those that live religion altogether.

I'm speaking of those who may want to do things a shtickle different well within what halacha allows.

Has nothing to do with NY or CLE has all to do with the size of community and luxury to pick and choose.

OK. So even in your skewed worldview, we have Monsey, Out of Town and Israel. Totally. Israel is just a tiny little place anyway so we won't count them. And out of town...another small insignificant place, right?

That was condescending. I think people wouldn't want their kids to be exposed to your type of family so they don't learn bad middos.

I definitely dont want my kid coming home and asking to go to MLE or BOB for a shabbos vacation just like a kid in class went. And wants to go upstairs on a 747, and sit in the cockpit.
