Does anyone know of competent, preferably English speaking, Elder Law attorney in Israel.
I have been trying to get some documents done, but it seems like either I'm not talking to the right attorneys, or laws are very different in Israel than in the US.
The specific issue at hand right now is putting a durable power of attorney in force. It seems like a durable POA is commonly only done in Israel for real-estate transactions, and seemingly only when there's a named counterparty.
There's no transaction now, nor is there a specific contemplated counterparty, but we do want to make sure proper documents are in place, so we are not left scrambling if the need to effectuate a transaction arises, and principal is incapacitated at the time.
