It is addictive.
Grand total balance = for sure a waste of time in my case.
In my active times I've helped quite some members which is at least positive.

PS. I don't live in the USA and don't have an SSN.

I pretty much have DDF to thank for everything. So, definitely not.

Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Wow what a tough question, I always thought I was the only one with a guilty conscious with spending way to much time on ddf, definitely could have gained a lot more without it as I would be more involved with the stuff I'm doing on a regular basis, but then again it's a great place to come and relax, and feel free to ask away and gain great knowledge in many subjects, but I don't know a limit, sometimes I take it too far and spend nights scrolling through threads or posting when I should really be sleeping and getting up on time the next morning..
As much damage and time it consumed don't plan on disposing of it yet. (Even with all the knowledge I gained doubt it equals the amount of time killed.)
I still remember when I was a newbie and I signed up for an account(DDF) just to pm another member selling a target RC to get a hold of two RC and start my long journey, definitely remember good and we'll the easy and simple MS with my first two cards gold and amex Plat 160,000mr just for signing up to ddf to get a hold of those RC).
I could have never imagined that signing up to buy two plastic cards would pull me into hours upon hours spent on ddf.

And of course all those who make fun and call me mr dansdeals, ;) and every time there's a sale or some good deal I'm usually the one helping and explaining what where and how, I do know that many ppl got great products at great prices all because of the knowledge I gained here and was able to use it to help others aside for members of ddf.

One enjoyment I can say I enjoyed was opening all my amazon and random freebies and packages I've gotten over the past couple of years, great feeling knowing your opening a product which you saved X amount of money on or if you played enough shtick to get it for free and then with the amount of products amazon gave you for free and the credits/cash.. and of course from other stores as well..

At the end of the day as much as I might mock it or regret I'm happy I learn't  and gained some knowledge which I would have not gained elsewhere.
And the times I was able to help another out with what ever it was and for any deal someone might have had pleasure from..
And of course being able to have ddf members always willing to answer my wacky questions which I had and don't know what I would have done without you guys.(specifically the LMST which I posted many of my Questions..)
Of course there's a special thank you owed to Dan and JJ for all this whether it's taken in a good way or bad way after reading all this, I mean It sincerely thanks for all and hope to see much more and better stuff in the coming... (sounds like a farewell post :).)
Overall it was a great pleasure being here and wish you guys hatzlacha in all you do and hope to see you guys again in yirushalayim ir hakodesh with the coming of meshiach..

Nope no way I'm leaving yet..was just a good ending to my long episode of ddf..

Waste of time & better off not having found it are different imho. If one dropped out of college, threw away a good career, or lost a shidduch because of time on DDF, then he’s better off not having found DDF. But if that time would’ve otherwise been spent on even more WA, FB, YouTube (w/o losing any of the above mentioned) then best spend it here.

Is this the problem ?
Wow didn't know this was so popular for all those who sign up to ddf..
It's a good thing Dan/Jj don't come out with a new toy or product, can you imagine the outcome of the product ppl will be commenting that my kids don't come to supper nor do they want to go to school anymore because there busy with the new... ;)

What we apparently need is a feature where ddf’ers enter the times they shouldn’t be on DDF & the mods lock their accounts at those times.😈

I agree.
My conclusion remains the same.

This is definitely true, and a good point.

I could very easily have spent my time watching TV, snorting coke, or engaging in a myriad of other non-productive or destructive activities that would make the time on here well-spent by any measure.

But, by the same token...
yup, i gave that up to start following DDF ;D

when i was at my old job i had all the time in the world so i spent it on ddf (yt, fb, etc were blocked). i got inspired to ms a little (i gave it up real quick. waaay too time consuming), to open multiple credit cards (no regrets), to open my first AMEX (first person in my family to do that), to travel further than just Niagara Falls, to use my amex purchase/return protection to the fullest!

now i'm at my new job and i rarely get time to sit on forums/chats/social media. if ddf would have been a true addiction i don't think my job would have stopped me.

all in all i'm enjoying ddf very much but mostly sit on JS since i don't have the brain power at the end of the day to read through all the new ways i can make/save money/points.
My greatest achievement? I am fluent in FRIENDS quotes

I would venture to say that for most people, other than those that make a living off this, the time/energy spent is worth more than the money or points made/saved.

That is why I value DDF for the relationships and friendships, rather than anything that can be measured in dollars and cents. While it is nice to get my DW an oven with an MSRP of over $2,000 (and selling price between $1,200-$1700) for $457, if I would have to weigh that compared to time WASTED on DDF, the scale would tip heavily on the side of time wasted.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
