Move to Beachwood
Apparently too cold with the wind chill for kids to wait outside for the bus. And once the city buses cancelled, the Jewish schools did too.I don't get it though, ORD or MSP kids would never have school if that were true.
It's likely just what the kids are prepared for. MSP kids have the proper winter attire for -10, CLE parents aren't buying their kids a new wardrobe for 1 day of -10, so schools cancel...Miami kids don't play outside if it's 30 outside because they don't have the clothing for it... Same logic.
I suppose. Though it's not in the negatives unless you count the wind chill.
And in boca they send out this psa when the temp dips below 60:
I take my kid in the costco fridge every now and then to make sure he remembers what Cleveland feels like
The city of Beachwood provides free door to door busing. That's why I don't get it.
NYers don't know how to handle the cold.
Probably had to cancel due to the rif-raf from UH and CH. But TBH, most parents would rather drive their kids straight to school for 10 minutes than be home with/make arrangements for them for a whole day.
Miami kids don't play outside if it's 30 55 outside because they don't have the clothing for it and they don't consider 85 degrees to be too hot... Same logic.
My boy had yeshiva & busing yesterday as well as today. I saw many other yeshiva busses going around yesterday. Girl schools otoh are quick to cancel.
