Is there really nobody here in the industry (and willing to kindly share advice)?

I'll repeat my above question (modified):

Re. Homeowners insurance

How do the following 3 companies compare?

Swyfft/Clear Blue, Universal Property, and Liberty Mutual.

They were the best quotes I've gotten.

Wondering if there's anyone here with experience, or in this line of business that can comment.

TIA

Definitely not liberty mutual
Is your quote for Universal or UPC?
If Universal i would probably go with that (this is just in general you need to compare all policies to see that they are offering you same coverages, deductible etc)

UPC (Universal Property & Casualty), not "Universal".

@SOS (or anyone else knowledgeable), what's wrong with Liberty Mutual?

the whole claims process.

just 1 example when you have 1 wall damaged in a room most insurance companies will pay to paint the entire room (after replacing the damaged drywall)
liberty mutual will only pay the to paint the effected wall and even then only 1 coat of paint

If an insurance company manually processed a premium/reinstatement payment for a lapsed policy, does that mean the policy is renewed? Or they can later return the payment and not reinstate the policy?

If they reinstate w/ a lapse it they genrally assign a new effective date and it's a new policy (with old Policy Number). if they reinstate w/o a lapse then it keeps the old effective date. Does that help?

This thread reminds me of what recently happened to me. I added a new car on my Geico policy and while I was on the phone they said get renters insurance via LM it will cost $80 a year but will save me $160 a year on my auto policy. Not two weeks later my storage room got broken into and I had a 3k claim paid out 1-2-3. TYH

Thanks but any chance they accepted the payment and will still claim it’s too late to reinstate the policy?
