Just noticed that Delta has a "basic economy" ticket - seats are assigned after check-in (vs. "Main cabin" where you have the ability to choose seats during booking). Cost is $10 cheaper per one-way ticket. Is this new?

I flew a flight like that two years ago but I believe it was a trial on certain routes. Was more than $10 cheaper though for my specific flight.

Dad's 2015 Platinum Elite yr ends Jan 31st. Choice Benefits must be chosen by tomorrow 11:59pm or I have till Jan 31st?
Why do they do that extra month thing? Throws off the way I look at a yr.
