No you can book most airlines online
And how does one transfer the DL miles to another partner?

You cannot do that. You can only use DL miles with DL to book on DL or partners, or as someone might have suggested, sell the miles to someone that has use for them, and buy what you can use.

DL miles don't expire, so the only urgency in using them is protection from future devaluations (though with the current value of those, it's hard to see how it can go lower...)
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

Not sure if this is the right place but looked around where to post..
I have the Delta AMEX and silver Medallion status, both of which offer waived baggage fees. Does this mean I get to check in 2 bags a passenger for free? or the don;t double stack to offer one free bag each?
TIA

1 bag total per passenger.

Question - I will be flying Aeroflot several times in the next few months.

Is it better to get Delta skymiles for the flight, or Aeroflot Bonus (Aeroflot's FF program)?

Aeroflot's program does not seem very generous, but neither is Delta's.   Thoughts?

Thanks

Might be better to post in the where to credit thread. I would say that if you are flying Aeroflot consistently their redemptions are much better than delta. It's 35k to upgrade rt Svo-jfk which is fantastic given the fares they offer. There are some other good deals in their redemptions. But be aware they have no credit card  partners and there really is no way to transfer points into your account other than flying. In addition some reward redemptions need to be booked on the phone.

My daughter's flying Aeroflot to Israel and needs extra baggage. Can I use my sky miles to pay for extra baggage? If yes, how many points?

my relative is short 1300 miles to receive platinum status for the next year. Is there anything he can do to attain the status short of a mile run?

TIA
