I imagine if it was integrated into the forum instead of something totally separate it would get used more.
+100 But there's no decent SMF plug-in wiki that we know of.If you and BAHayman want to collaborate on setting this up, I won't object
I'm no forum administrator, but how does SD do it?
Who's SD?
A competing deal site whose name we don't dare mention here
Yeah, I realized that after I had posted...I haven't been to that site in years...
They have a great wiki implementation, their forum is coded in-house AFAIK, they're also hiring devs ATM.
I nominate you to be the inhouse DDF dev.
So, we finally have a wiki up at http://www.DansDeals.com/wiki, but it doesn't seem to be getting much use. Anyone care to comment?
I think we should make a thread and every time someone creates or edits a wiki, they can post in the thread
+1We need a master thread linking to all the current wiki pages.
Iy"h the main DD site will undergo it's first redesign since 2007 in the near future. The forums and social media sections are likely to be featured more, but I guess the Wiki hasn't caught on.Any reason to incorporate it into the new site?
Care to tell us more about planned redesign, so we can share our input?I think post-wikis (like on FW and SD) would be best, or at least allow members with post-counts of x or higher edit their OPs.
