1. How do I define myself?
I would label myself as a "not frum, religious Jew".

2. What does that mean to me?
The best way I can explain it in short, is that I don't feel the need to listen to halacha. How do I define "halacha"? In this context it means any halacha that I don't think is included in Torah shebiksav. So I guess another label for me would be "someone who is very similar to the tzedokim".

3. How would I like to see my kids?
I would want them to have a very strong belief in Hashem and in תנ"ך. I would want them to have a close relationship with Hashem. And I think "close relationship" is self explanatory but I'll explain what that means to me. It means that you always keep in mind that there's a God and you daven to Him for anything that you feel you want. It means that you thank Him for any small thing that He gives you. It means thanking Him for preventing any damage whether monetary or physical. It means asking for forgiveness for things that you could have done better and didn't (Kal vechomer to wrong things). I think that those 4 things are the basics of how I would define a close relationship.

If the mods feels that this post isn't appropriate, I fully understand. It's just something I've wanted to get off my chest recently and this thread seemed like the right spot. Although I'm assuming ExGingi wasn't looking for this type of answer. (Especially since the reverse of how I define myself would not give an accurate explanation of how I define "frum").
I'm so confused because you seem so yeshivish. Are you still a wolf in sheeps clothing? Or do you dress and act openly like your beliefs? Maybe this whole post is bull.

If I would be defining you based on all your posts but this,I would say that you are a "yeshivish guy from oot".

Wow, I never thought this would get brought up again.

I'm a wolf in sheeps clothing. Some people would say a sheep dressed up as a wolf who is dressed up as a sheep, is more accurate. I'm not sure if I agree with them.

Then again maybe my whole post was ....

I'm just curious why did you think I'm yeshivish oot (sorry @ExGingi for off topic)?

A sheep in sheep's clothing who identifies as a wolf?
You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used to start a religious discussion.

What I meant was that some people will say that even someone like me is really a sheep. But for whatever reason will identify as a wolf. Thereby being, a sheep dressed like a wolf who is dressed like a sheep.

Being Yeshivish does not say much about ones beliefs.

So if you are in bmg, are you marketing yourself as a wolf or a sheep?

I'm not understanding your question.

Are you "on the market"? If yes, are you looking to marry a fully religious girl, and fake it untill.. or not.

Apologies if this is too personal. But you posted that you are not really orthodox, yet you pose as a yeshivish guy. So I'm very intrigued...

No I wouldn't do that. That's just going to ruin 2+ lives and is totally not right.

Like I said before
That being said, I would want my wife to be on the same page. If I can't find someone like that than maybe I'd consider someone who is modern Orthodox.

Or I would consider someone who is otd but she would have to pass certain criteria.

So why you faking it now? Go to college and make a life in olam hazeh for yourself at least..

You'll find a nice Jewish girl etc.

Looks like you'r a real maamin, just trying to justify some choices?

Faking, mainly because I'm embarrassed to change. College, I don't consider financial success as the primary element of "making it". If anything I'd consider trade school. Much less debt and years required. Although I never thought about the idea that I can meet a Jewish girl in college. For that it's actually a pretty good idea.

And like I said before

One, I only see such things when it comes to anger. Even that I'm not 100% sure about. Two, why don't other people justify. Three, why do I stop, why not just become an atheist or similar.
